The Celtics are an NBA basketball team. They are from Boston, Mass. Let’s talk about old times and then now. Back in the olden days, the Celtics had many stars. One main star was Bill Russel. Bill Russel won eleven NBA championships and was the most dominant player in his era. In the 1961-1962 season he averaged 23 rebounds per game! To put that into perspective, one of the best players in the world, Nikola Jokic, averages 12 rebounds per game. Now let’s talk modern day stars. Our two biggest stars are Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Jayson Tatum is averaging 21 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, and 5 assists per game. He is scoring this much and was out for half of the season; that’s good. Our other star is Jaylen Brown. Jaylen is one of the main MVP contenders this season. He is averaging 28 points per game. The leader is averaging 32 per game, so he is not that far off. The Cs are looking to make some noise in the playoffs, locked in as the two seed.
